Use the dental chart
The chart appears on patient records in dental clinics. Teeth are numbered 11 to 48 in FDI notation and each has five surfaces plus whole-tooth conditions such as crowns and extractions.
About 5 min
- 1
Choose the clinic type
The chart is shown when the clinic type is dental. Set it during setup or in Settings under Clinic settings.
- 2
Open the Medical tab on a patient
The chart shows the upper and lower jaw. Click a tooth to select it, then a surface.
- 3
Mark a condition
Pick the condition, from caries and filling to implant and missing, and its status: active, planned, treated or watch. Add a note if useful.
- 4
Update as treatment happens
When a planned filling is done, mark the finding treated. The history of the tooth keeps every entry with the date and the doctor.
- 5
Price the work in a plan
From the findings, create a treatment plan with items carrying the same tooth numbers, so the chart and the estimate agree.
Good to know
- Dental notes have their own field on the medical profile, separate from general notes.
- X-rays are uploaded as documents on the patient, next to the chart.
- The chart is part of the patient's data export.
